How to build a stack that doesn't tangle
Space the lengths about two inches apart. With that gap, each chain has room to lie flat instead of riding up onto the one below it.
Fasten the shortest first; it is easier to see what you are doing before the longer ones are in the way. With one width throughout, the stones line up visually from top to bottom and the three read as a set. Other widths to build around it are collected in lab grown diamond necklaces.
Small links, still set with stones
Narrow cubans are often left as plain metal, because there is not much surface to work with. These are not: each small link carries two lines of lab grown diamonds across its face, so the chain keeps its sparkle at close range, where a thin chain is usually seen. The stones are small by necessity at this width, which keeps the look clean rather than chunky when three are worn together. None of them were mined.
A 6MM link also moves easily. It follows the neck as your head turns and settles back flat, and it is slim enough to sit inside an open collar. How many should I buy for a stack? Two is enough to see the effect; three is what the photos show. Order each one in a different length, two inches apart.
Can I wear just one? Yes. On its own at 18 or 20 inches it works as an everyday chain that still has stones in it.
Does the whole stack have to be this chain? No. Three of the same width gives a tidy, even stack. Swapping the longest one for a wider cuban gives the stack a heavier base and makes the two thinner chains above it look finer by comparison.
