A plain cuban link is round. This one is not. The faces have been flattened and squared off so there is somewhere for the stones to go, and once they are in, the chain stops reading as metal with stones on it and starts reading as one surface.
What squaring the link changes
Round links throw one moving highlight, the way any polished metal does. Flatten the same link and the face becomes wide enough and level enough to set into, so it can take rows of small stones held apart by raised ribs of metal. Light comes back as a grid rather than a streak. The shape changes how it lies, too: square faces rest against each other, so a 10MM cuban link chain sits flatter on the collarbone than its width suggests.
The clasp is part of the chain, not an interruption
The box clasp is set on its outer face like the links are, so the run of stones carries across it rather than stopping at a blank block of metal. A release sits flush in the side wall. Worn at the back it stays out of sight, but a clasp on a 10MM run tends to work its way toward the front, which is the reason it was worth setting.

Hardness is not a spec sheet line on a chain
The stones set across these faces are lab grown diamonds - the material a mine would hand you, minus the mine. On a ring that fact would end at the spec line. FAQ
Is the chain silver or gold? Silver. The base is 925 sterling and the white gold is a plated layer on top of it. A 14K stamp shows up on one of the plain chains in the photos - that is a different piece from the same shoot, not this one.
Can a pendant go on it? The links here are wide, so a pendant needs a bail cut for a 10MM chain. A bail sized for a thin rope or box chain is too small to clear them.
Is there a wrist version? Cuban gets built at both ends of the range. The wrist side of it sits on lab grown diamond bracelets.
Is your jewelry real?
Yes. Most of our pieces are S925 sterling silver set with VVS moissanite. Our Lab Diamond line is set with lab-grown diamonds instead. Some styles use brass with 18K gold plating. Check each product description for the exact material.
