Stud listings often quote carat weight for the pair, so a set sold as "1 carat" may hold only half a carat in each ear. This one counts per stone. Each earring holds a round lab grown diamond of about 1 carat, and the pair comes to roughly 2 carats. Estimated, and why that is normal
The white gold pair in the photos went to a lab already set. Its report puts the two stones at 2.06 carats together and labels that number an estimate.
The word "estimated" is standard for any mounted stone. A diamond can only be weighed exactly while it is loose. Once prongs hold it, a lab measures its width and depth and works the weight out from those numbers. The same report also notes that grading went only as far as the mounting allowed. Read 1 carat per stone as a close figure, the way set diamonds are normally described. For looks, width matters more than the last hundredth of a carat. A well-cut 1-carat round measures about 6.5MM across, and that width is the part you see on the ear. Four slim claws hold each stone at its corners, leaving nearly the whole top open.

FAQ
Does yellow or rose gold tint the diamond? Only slightly. Four thin prongs leave little metal touching the stone, though a yellow or rose setting can lend a faint warmth when the stone is seen at an angle.
What does CVD mean? Chemical vapor deposition, one of the two main ways diamonds are grown. Carbon settles out of a gas onto a thin diamond seed, layer by layer, until the crystal is large enough to cut. It is the growth method listed for these stones.
