A plain tennis chain is one smooth line. This one has an edge: every third stone is a pear with its tip turned outward, so the 5mm row looks spiked along the side facing away from your neck. The rest are round moissanite. Beneath them, the chain is 925 silver with rose gold or white gold plating; yellow gold isn't offered.

Two rounds, then a pear

The pattern is easy to follow. Two round stones, side by side, then a pear, then two more rounds. Each round gets four prongs, while each pear rests in a small V of metal at its point with prongs around the wider end. Underneath, the settings are open, not backed with solid plate. Where the extra work goes

A standard four-prong row uses one setting, over and over. This chain needs two: a four-prong cup for every round and a V-tip setting shaped to fit every pear, with the joins between them lined up so the row still bends smoothly. Length changes how the points behave. On a shorter chain they lie close along the collarbone and outline the neckline; on a longer one the row drops onto the chest and the pears hang more loosely. Options step up two inches at a time, from 18 to 24.

FAQ

Are the pear tips sharp? The point of each pear sits inside its V of metal, so the stone's tip is covered. What faces outward is metal, not the bare stone.

Is 5mm a lot for a tennis chain? It's a middle-ground width, bolder than 2mm or 3mm but well short of a statement row. At this size each stone shows up individually, and the pears add to that.

Does it go with a tennis bracelet? Yes. Mixing metal tones between neck and wrist can look deliberate, so a rose gold chain over a white bracelet still looks put together. Our moissanite tennis bracelet range is a good place to look.

Is your jewelry real?

It depends on the line. Most of our jewelry is set with VVS moissanite, which is its own gemstone, not a diamond. Does the jewelry come with a certificate?

Most pieces ship with a gemstone certificate in the box. Where one is included, the issuing laboratory is named on that product's page, and the paperwork usually appears in the listing photos as well.

Will the jewelry fade?

Plating lasts longest when it stays dry, so take pieces off before swimming or showering, wipe them down after a heavy sweat, and store them in the jewelry pouch when not in use. Gold-plated styles are finished with multiple layers of plating for long-lasting shine, while sterling silver styles keep their natural finish.
